About Us

Backbeat Concerts offer a variety of musical styles in an intimate setting, extending the musical possibilities in Lyons, Colorado. The vision encompasses jazz, classical, swing, folk, country, and pop music in a series of four concerts a year, held during early spring and late fall. Concert dates and styles are coordinated with other acoustic music presentations in Lyons (High Street Concerts, the Community Dances, and Planet Bluegrass) so as to offer diversity to the community, without conflicting with other scheduled events.

Backbeat shows are held in the Lyons Community Church, which has kindly offered its sanctuary as the concert venue. This is a warm and welcoming small town church with fabulous acoustics. Hot drinks and sweet treats are offered for sale, with all proceeds from those sales donated to a worthy cause.
